Larry was my neighborhood guys besides us going to the same highschool. We all lived in a neighborhood that was racially changing, so us sticking together back in those days was crucial for our safety as it was only 6 of us. As we greww to adulthood we stayed in touch and he became a nurse for the mentally ill. Larry was a greatguy and will continued to be missed.
Very sad to hear that Larry passed. When was that? larry and I shared many laughs Not surprised that he went on to a nursing carrer- especially in the mental illness realm. He was a great soul.
I knew him as Popeye he was truly that kind person that was great to be around sad that he has left us was looking forward to the reunion hope to see him on the other side!
I was delighted to meet a young man this evening who was a groomsman at the wedding of Linda Weisberg Gootrad's daughter. His last name was Wiggins, as stated on the program. Later in the evening, I asked him if he could be related to Larry Wiggins. He looked at me in surprise and said yes. The young man was Larry's nephew, telling me that Larry had been his favorite uncle, who always made him laugh. I told him that Larry had graduated high school with me and a few others at the reception, that he had been a friend to many and that he made a lot of people laugh back in the day. He thanked me so much for taking the time to stop and ask about his uncle, gave me a hug, a kiss on the cheek and went back into the reception.
