I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Bill. He was a great guy. I will always remember him from the sound effects he would make from centerfield for our Boilermakers baseball team. My sympathy for his family.
I've been thinking all day of the many great memories I have of Willie. Playing hoops in the snow on New Years Eve to see who could make the first basket of the New Year, riding our motorcycles up to Wisconsin through the foggy valleys, just enjoying the freedom being young offers two friends.
Willie was special to me as I'm sure he was many others.
We met a number of times with other Bowenites and I got to know him better. The last time I saw him was at our high school reunion and we spent a lot of time talking and remiinising about our experiences in high school. Bill was a kind and thoughtful person.
