Yes! Attending Reunion
Are you interested in having a 50 year reunion of the class of 1968?

Yes

Would you like to participate in the planning of the reunion?

Yes

How old do you feel?

Mid 40s.

What are some of your favorite memories of high school? What is your least favorite?

Band--even the coldest days marching in parades and the wettest football games when the purple dye from the uniforms stained our skin for days.
Shooting nails from a magnetic gun Wayne Lepkin and I made from soda straws and wire for physics class. Try that now and they'll throw you in jail.
The Bowen Arrow. It lead me to a career in journalism and 18 1/2 years at "The World's Greatest Newspaper" (or so they named themselves).
Lunch. For a year I sat across from Mike Levy. He would bring a new sci-fi book each day and I had just enough time to read the first chapter.

If you could go back in time and give some advice to your 14 year old high school freshman self, what would you tell yourself? Optional: Leave blank to not include in your profile

At 14 I had no idea what a grade point average was, nor how important it would be. I remember first hearing about this during a gym class in sophomore year. We were doing laps, walking around the gym floor, and someone near me mentioned the topic. I knew nothing of it, so over the course of a walk around the gym the math of how this was calculated was explained to me. What I didn't learn until much too late was the importance of this number.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Travel, woodworking, inventing. I still take pictures and need to get the old ones organized.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

People who knew me in high school are rarely surprised by what they hear about me. It is kind of a "Yeah, he'd do that" reaction.

Travel much?

In the last 10 years I've driven over 700,000 months miles. About 100,000 a year, with two years off while I taught others to drive. This year I've been traveling about 2,300 miles a week so I'm on a 120,000 mile pace.
I've been to every state except Alaska and Hawai'i. I probably shouldn't count Maine, either, as I just spent a few minutes there and need to explore it more.
I fly when I must, but I'd rather set my own pace, stop to meet people, and see the sights and sites.

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

Fly a plane. SCUBA dive in warm water, like the Caribbean. Bring peace, justice, and prosperity to the world.
